About Daleville
A city found in Dale County, Daleville is a part of the Ozark Metro area. It’s nicknamed the Gateway to Fort Rucker and it’s very close to Cairns Army Airfield. The population is just over 5,100 residents and the city covers more than 14.1 square miles of space.
Originally, the community was known as Dale’s Court House. It was founded in 1827. The name was chosen in 1848 and Daleville became incorporated in 1912. The incorporation was later rescinded in 1916, but it was again incorporated in 1958.
