About Gilmore
A community found in St. Charles County, Gilmore is a part of the state of Missouri. The community had a post office from 1884 to 1959. However, the post office stopped operations and is no longer in Gilmore.
The name comes from Thomas Gilmore, who was an early settler and marched against the British at Rock Island. He was later killed by Indians.
